A force to be reckoned with

A force to be reckoned with

YPU-Jakarta. Step by step, Yayasan Prima Unggul continuously pushes orphans to grow into independent individuals, through entrepreneurship programs and education. Along that line, on Saturday, 5th May 2012, an agreement (MoU)  was formed between YPU/YKK and Bunda Mulia University, Jakarta, in the form of an education scholarship for orphans.

It was definitely great news for us, and to add to the joy, a special guest was also present to witness the signing of the MoU. He is none other than the Minister of Economic Coordinator, Mr. Ir. Hatta Rajasa. This is a breakthrough -  a “rise of the orphans”. With one hope, orphans will be a part of four million entrepreneurs that was the aspiration of the minister, to support the country’s economic sector so that it would be stronger in the future.

This historic event proves that orphans have the same rights as normal citizen. During the event, Mr. Rajasa presented a dialogue and received souvenirs which were made by the orphans of YPU/YKK and he promised the orphans that he would be there if he were to be invited to the Keluarga Kasih orphanage/ Yayasan Prima Unggul school.
Thank you Mr. Minister, thank you UBM family, the beautiful memory for the orphans and the determination to be entrepreneurs will be even more impassioned in them.

A memorable quote came from Mr Danny, the leader of the Dreamday UBM committee , in front of the college students: “From now on, your competitor is not only other college students but also the orphans!”

With that, we should be thankful that orphans are righteously “children of the nation who are worthy to be reckoned with!”
